Taking the Subway

坐地铁

Mom: Lets take the subway to the city center today.

妈妈：咱们今天坐地铁去市中心吧。

child: Yay! Ive always wanted to ride the subway.

宝宝：耶！我一直想坐地铁呢。

Mom: Lets take the escalator down.

妈妈：咱们坐扶梯下去吧。

Watch where you step.

注意脚下。

Hold on to Mommys hand and stand still.

拉着妈妈的手，站稳。

Make sure you have your transport card ready!

准备好你的公交卡！

亦作transport pass。各大城市的公交卡通常有自己的名字，纽约叫Metro Card，伦敦叫Oyster Card，悉尼叫Opal Card，香港的八达通英文名叫Octopus Card。

Why dont you try swiping our transport card?

你试试刷公交卡吧。

Child: Like this?

宝宝：像这样吗？

Mom: Thats it – you got it.

妈妈：对，就是这样。

? Waiting for the train 等地铁

Mom: Lets find the right side we need to be on, in other words, the right direction.

妈妈：咱们先找到咱们坐的那边，或者说找对方向。

Take a look at the sign that shows what the next station is.

看下指示牌，看看下一站是哪儿。

Child: Looks like the next station is Guo Mao.

宝宝：看起来下一站是国贸。

Mom: Good, thats our direction.

妈妈：好的，这个是咱们的方向。

Lets wait here.

咱们就在这儿等吧。

Dont stand too close to the edge of the platform.

不要离站台边太近。

Stand behind the yellow line.

站在黄线后面。

Child: Okay.

宝宝：好的。

Mom, the train is arriving.

妈妈，车来了。

Mom: Great, lets line up to get on.

妈妈：太好了，咱们排队上车吧。

We let people get off first.

先让别人下车。

Dont push.

不要挤。

? On the train 在车上

Mom: The train is departing from the station.

妈妈：列车出站了。

Hold on tight to my hand and I will hold on to the handle.

握紧我的手，我拉着拉环。

Woman: Would you like my seat?

女士：你想坐我的座位吗？

Mom: Thank you!

妈妈：谢谢您！

(To child) Its polite to offer your seat to the elderly or to those with small children.

（对宝宝说）给老人或带小孩的让座位是很文明的行为。

Child: (To woman offering seat) Thank you, Miss!

宝宝：（对让座女士）谢谢您，女士！

Miss是对年轻或未婚女士的称呼，更通用的对所有女士的称呼是Maam。

Mom, what if I dont know where to get off?

妈妈，如果我不知道哪站下怎么办？

Mom: If you need to find where you need to stop, you can ask someone beside you.

妈妈：如果你想知道在哪儿下车，可以问问旁边的人。

Just say, "Excuse me, which station should I get off at to get to so-and-so place?"

你就说“打扰一下，我要去哪哪哪，应该在哪站下车呢？”

? After a while 过了一会儿

Child: Are we almost there?

宝宝：我们快到了吗？

Mom: We are getting off at the next station.

妈妈：我们在下一站下车。

Lets move towards the door.

咱们往门口走。

Child: Its so crowded.

宝宝：太挤了。

Mom: Yes, it is.

妈妈：是的。

If you need to get by someone, you can say "Excuse me, may I get by you?"

如果你需要从某人身边过一下，你可以说“劳驾，我能从您这儿过一下吗？”

"Excuse me, coming through."

“劳驾，过一下?！?/p>

"Excuse me, can I swap spots with you?"

“劳驾，能跟您换一下吗？”

Child: Okay.

宝宝：好的。

Mom: Actually, the next station is an interchange station.

妈妈：对了，下一站是换乘站。

Many people will get off, so we can just follow the flow of the people.

好多人都下，咱们跟着人流走就行了。

Be careful not to step on other peoples feet.

小心不要踩到别人的脚。

If you do by accident, just apologize.

如果不小心踩到了，就道个歉。

You can say, "Sorry about stepping on your foot."

你可以说“不好意思踩到您的脚了”。

Child: Got it!

宝宝：知道了！

? Waiting by the door 在门附近等

Mom: The train has stopped.

妈妈：车停了。

Get ready to go.

准备走了。
