Summer Olympic Games 夏季奥运会

Every four years, top athletes in the world compete in a festival of sports, called the Olympic Games.

每隔四年，世界上的顶级运动员们会参加一个运动盛会，叫做奥运会。

There are two types of Olympic Games – summer and winter, which occur two years apart from each other.

奥运会分两种——夏季和冬季，它们每隔两年交替进行。

This year is an exception.

今年是个特殊情况。

Due to the pandemic, 2020 Summer Olympic Games have been postponed to 2021.

由于疫情，2020年夏季奥运会被推迟到2021年举行。

Beijing will be holding the Winter Olympic Games in 2022.

北京将会在2022年举办冬季奥运会。
